The Fresh Graduate Resume Format
Use this order. It puts your strongest material, your education and training, where the recruiter looks first:
1 Header
Full name with middle initial, mobile number, a professional email based on your name, and your city. Add a formal photo if the employer expects one; BPOs and multinationals usually don't.
2 Objective
One or two lines naming the exact role and what you bring. See the examples below.
3 Education
Degree, school, years, Latin honors or dean's list, and your thesis or capstone title. Add your Senior High School strand on one line.
4 OJT / Internship
Company, role, dates and hours completed. Internship hours vary by program, typically 200 to 600 hours, so state yours. Write 2–3 bullets with results, not just duties.
5 Projects, Organizations and Volunteer Work
Leadership roles, events you organized, competitions and volunteer work. Show scale: attendees, funds raised, members led.
6 Skills, Certifications and Licensure
Software and tools, languages, TESDA National Certificates and online certificates. If you have taken a board exam, list the license once you pass (for example "Licensed Professional Teacher, 2026").
7 Character References
Two or three people who can speak about your work: a professor, your thesis adviser or your OJT supervisor. Ask permission first.
Objective Examples by Course
A good objective names the role and gives one concrete reason to shortlist you. Avoid generic lines like "to be part of a reputable company".

Free Government Documents for First-Time Jobseekers
Under the First Time Jobseekers Assistance Act (RA 11261), first-time jobseekers don't pay government fees for the pre-employment documents employers usually ask for, including:
- NBI clearance and police clearance
- Barangay clearance
- PSA birth certificate (and marriage certificate, if applicable)
- Medical certificate from a public hospital
- Transcript of records from a state college or university
- TIN and UMID

Should I include my OJT on my resume?
Yes. For most fresh graduates, OJT is the strongest item on the resume. List the company, your role, the dates and the number of hours completed, and two or three results, such as tasks completed, reports prepared or systems you helped with.
How long should a fresh graduate resume be?
One page. Recruiters spend very little time on each entry-level resume, and a focused single page with your education, OJT and skills is easier to read than two pages of padding.
Should I include my Senior High School strand?
Yes, as a single line under your college degree, with any honors. It shows your academic track (STEM, ABM, HUMSS, GAS or TVL) and is useful when your degree is closely related to it. Leave out elementary school.
